Australasian Computer Science Week (ASCW) represents the largest Australasian Computer Science Conference (ACSC) annual gathering of computing educators and researchers in Australasia.  The aim for 2014 is to build upon the existing strengths of the event, to re-emphasise its community building focus and provide a stronger community of practice for computing discipline leaders, researchers and educators in the region.  ACSW is a multi-conference event with a collection of some thirteen different conferences and workshops. Tour of Computer History Displays

In conjunction with ACSW, a special tour of Computer History Displays at the University of Auckland has been organised.

Over the years the Department of Computer Science has built up a series of displays on the History of Computing that are installed in the lobbies of the “computing building.” The displays include a timeline that has recently been redesigned and reinstalled in the new Science Plaza.

Date: 21st January 2014
Time: 5.30pm
Venue: Meet at the ACSW registration desk to be guided across Wellesley Street to the location of the displays.
